Last Sunday night I did my first moth sheet of the year and tried out my new lights (Entoquip Light). Well, to be honest it was really around 2:30 Monday morning. I was laying awake in bed then decided I might as well go out and see what moths were about.
The moth turn out was a bit meager, but twelve species paid me a visit.
All of the following identifications are based on iNaturalist suggestions (not all are confirmed so they are tentative).
First, a couple of favorites from that night…
Ursula Wainscot Moth (Leucania ursula)

Virginian Tiger Moth (Spilosoma virginica)
