Thanks to everyone who participated in our July 4, 2026 open garden! Despite the heat and all the Fourth of July festivities, over 175 people visited Catchfly Commons.

It is so encouraging for us to see so much interest in gardening with native plants… very much a growing trend (sorry for the “dad” joke there). We really enjoy connecting with folks, hearing about their gardening, and exchanging information. Open gardens are times for “Gathering Flora, Fauna, & Friends!”

This year we were part of the Delaware County Master Gardener Volunteer’s monthly open garden series. Many, many thanks to all the Master Gardener volunteers to helped us! Prior to the open garden there were two work days full of weeding, mulching, and path chipping. During the open garden, volunteers helped with parking, hospitality, refreshments, and presentations. The team was awesome!
