Biodiversity at Catchfly Commons

We use iNaturalist to identify and record our observations of biodiversity on our property.

To get a good sense of biodiversity here, visit the “Catchfly Commons” project page in iNaturalist. You do not need to be an iNaturalist user to view it. On the page you will find all of our observations over the years at Catchfly Commons (363 species and 680 observations to date), each with a photo and an identification. Clicking on a photo takes you to detailed information about the observation.

Thanks to Jason Stockslager for helping us set up the project page and thinking about new ways for us to use iNaturalist. Jason is active in the iNaturalist community and on the leadership team of the Cincinnati Nature Center Native Plant Club. He uniquely brings together knowledge about plants and technology to support biodiversity.

If you are not already an iNaturalist user, we encourage you to check it out. It is free and an awesome way to learn about plants and animals. Here is information about getting started.
